First, it’s not just your logo. Your logo is important but your whole brand, your colour palette, fonts, sub-marks (different logo variations,) values and company mission. Your brand gives off your business’s first impression and feeling within a potential buyer and seller and you want to make sure that this impression and feeling is drawing in the right, ideal clients towards your business. Your branding is also long-term and that should be factored into the decision process when designing your logo and other brand assets.
Items such as business cards, listing sheets, listing websites, brochures etc all need to have the branding mentioned above cohesively on everything so everything matches and potential clients can start to recognize you in different spots. But, having different physical and digital assets designed can help to provide information to buyers and sellers to get your listings sold.
Utilizing your social media channels properly is third on the list because it has to come after branding, design and your website. Social media marketing is great at amplifying a message such as, “I have a house for sale!” But after you state that message where are people going? Are you re-directing them to a listing website, a lead generation form, a phone number or to a direct message within the app? There are lots of things to think about when posting on social media and things that need to be figured out first. There are also two different versions of social media to look at our organic posts and content and anything you want to run as an ad. See below:
Organic Social Media: These are posts that are shared with your followers and non-followers who find you via hashtags and exploring social media. Your reach can be limited depending on how many followers you have or hashtags you use unless you post something and it goes viral (the chances of that happening are low, unfortunately.)
Paid Social Media: These are posts that were posted organically and now you pay Instagram or Facebook (now known as Meta) to share them as an ad to reach more people. The more you pay the higher chance that you will reach more people. This paid process is known as boosting posts. The official option is to run the content through ads only on Meta and not post the photo and copy as a post. So once the ad is done the content won’t be shared with an audience. Lastly, the best way to run a paid strategy is to have A/B testing running which just means testing two or more variations of the ad – photo/video and copy – to see what will perform better as you continue to run ads throughout the whole campaign or goal.
